HESQ Manager at Yara International

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity for a suitable experienced HESQ Manager to joining Yara Animal Nutrition South Africa based at the Durban operational plant. HESQ manager will be responsible for the organization, planning and implementation of all HESQ-related topics. This also includes the management system, as well as the requirements arising from the ISO standards and legal objectives applicable at the site. The goal is to achieve a safe operation at the Yara site in Durban, taking into account the company's goals and the HESQ objectives. In doing supporting   to achieve product quality as well as compliance with legal, process safety and environmental protection requirements.

• Responsibility for development and implementation of the operational HESQ strategy for Yara Animal Nutrition South Africa in alignment to Yara International standards
• Responsibility in supporting the local organisation in guiding departments to achieve HESQ requirements
• Ensure Yara management system is adapted  to the needs of the organization, in accordance with the predetermined HESQ objectives. This is to be in accordance with the HESQ standards aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, as well as applicable group steering standards and guidelines(HOPs/TOPs) 
• Coordinate quality laboratory activities in supporting operations and technical teams
• Lead and manage the laboratory team
• Promote all measures to increase occupational safety, process safety, security, hygiene/health and environmental protection
• Assist and guide the local organisation in applying hierarchy of controls to all risk topics

Profile

• Degree/ National Diploma Safety Management or Degree / National Diploma Environmental Health/ Environmental
• Chemical engineering or other related engineering qualifications an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a chemical/ petrochemical industry
• A minimum of 3 years of Senior management experience in HESQ function
