Key Outputs

• Provide Technical expert assistance to both internal and external customers. Provide technical expert investigation and reporting as well as provide resolution working collaboratively with BWE regions and customer;
• Analyse, report and provide resolution to HMS product health issues;
• Provide resolution to general HMS technical issues;
• Provide relevant HMS site and application assessment and collaborate with customer on future improvement projects;
• Provide training to both sales and aftersales personnel on both product and application;
• Provide any relevant information to sales and aftersales personnel;
• Assist with the provision of training on product and new product improvements;
• Effectively self-manage and manage own performance;
• Provide technical information to the business to effective repair, service and maintenance of the HMS product line;
• Collaborate with Service Engineering to ensure product health and delivery of the lowest cost per tonne for the customer
• Effectively communicate with both the internal and external stakeholders on the product developments as well upgrades.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies
Minimum qualification requirement

• Qualified Artisan, Mechanic in relevant field (e.g. Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Mechanic, etc) with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience. Preferably Hydraulic Mining shovels technical experience
• Demonstrate practical and theoretical training skills
• Sound interpersonal relationship skills

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• 5 Years post apprenticeship relevant work experience
• Work within a mining environment with minimum supervision
• Ability to work within a multiple stakeholder environment

Required Competencies:

• Knowledge of the hydraulic mining shovel product
• Technical competency with the hydraulic mining shovel product
• Clear understanding of the HMS product and its application
• Clear understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives
• Working knowledge of mining equipment and application thereof
• Clear understanding of the product and its mining application
• Experience in the assembly and disassembly of the HMS product
• Ability to offer a resolution over the phone where necessary
• Proven experience with both business and technical requirements
