A vacancy exists for a Hospital Electrician, reporting to the Technical Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and compliant operation of all electrical systems within a critical healthcare environment.
Critical Outputs
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hospital electrical infrastructure.
Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergency breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and healthcare standards.
Maintain backup power systems, including generators and UPS systems.
Work closely with facility management and clinical teams to minimize disruptions.
Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
Requirements
Certified/Qualified Electrician (Trade Test Certificate or equivalent)
Valid electrical license Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience, preferably in a hospital facility.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault-finding, and diagnostics.
Familiarity with backup power systems and emergency protocols.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work shifts, standby, and respond to emergencies.
