Provide operational leadership to clinical and non-clinical teams within the hospital.
Plan and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care delivery.
Use data (qualitative and quantitative) to monitor and report on hospital performance.
Implement the organisation’s policies, procedures, and systems to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Maintain ongoing compliance with healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture in which individual employees can thrive.
Manage staffing, workforce planning, and recruitment in collaboration with HR.
Contribute to organisational quality-improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, employees, and other internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant must hold current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse or full registration with the HPCSA and bring solid hands-on experience within a clinical care setting.
Proven experience working within an ICU/High-care unit advantageous.
Proven experience in successfully managing a team of more than 25 people.
