Hygiene Atendant at Nestle

A day in the life of a Hygiene Attendant:

• Remove waste from the processing to filing & packing areas daily per the set work instruction
• Empty, clean and maintain all the vacuum cleaners in the processing to filling & packing areas as per the work instruction.
• Cleaning and maintaining the floors, platforms, walls and windows in the filling and packing area according to the set work instruction.
• Ensuring compliance with personal safety, food safety & GMP requirements.
• Reports unsafe conditions or practices to the Team Leader and providing suggestions for accident hazard removal.
• Supports safety programs, promotions and projects as populated by the SHE committee.
• Conducts / monitors safety aspects of all machines / equipment within the area of responsibility.
• Participates in NCE initiatives.
• Perform other activities assigned by the Team Leader.
• Participate in ALL TPM activities
• Checks and maintains the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in high hygiene area as per the set standard.
• Anticipates and reacts systematically to any potential problem in the area that may affect continuity of operations or quality of products.

What will make you successful?

• Matric with Mathematics
• Diploma/Degree in Microbiology and Food Technology will be advantageous
• 2 years or more as a Hygiene Attendant
• Understanding basic Microbiology.
• Understand all safety regulations and apply them within the Factory.
• Computer Literate (i.e. Excel and Word).
• Filter Washing and or replacement.
• Vacuum Cleaner Cleaning
• Understanding GMP principles.
• Perform disinfection & wet sanitization as per the zone area.
