IBM Integration Developer / Technology / Domain Specialist – Johannesburg, Gauteng (Contract) at Paracon

Key Responsibilities:

Working within the Agile Squads to deliver Business systems application solutions by:

• Determine system/component logical relationship and interdependencies when developing or resolving incidents.
• Understand the impact of the proposed solution and recommend remedial action.
• Solution Design.
• Carryout problem/incident and requirements analysis.
• Production Support and Standby.
• Develop Real-time Solutions.
• Ensure technological integration across applications.
• Documentation and Specification Review.
• Software Development and Unit Testing.
• Code Implementation and Configuration.
• Analyse level of impact and risk on project.
• Post Implementation Quality Assurance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with peers and other stakeholders.
• Liaise and or follow up incidents with the vendor and other stakeholders.
• See to successful signoff of the test pack on the applicable platforms.
• Implement learning’s from post-mortem meetings.
• Deliver work products according to the agreed timelines and within agreed budget.
• Escalate non-compliance to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consulting on specific technologies.
• Recommend and publish technical solutions.
• Interpret the business requirements in order to create technical specifications with an in-depth understanding of impacts across other product areas, recommend and publish technical solutions (high level and or detailed).
• Delivered systems, products and/or projects which contributed to improved client service.
• Review required documents.
• Deliver impact analysis (IA) artefact including effort estimation and timelines.
• Assign level of impact and risk.
• Consider industry trends in technical design areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 -10 years’ experience in programming (preferably BPEL Development)
• Minimum 5 years’ IBM Process Server 8.5
• 5 years’ experience in DataPower Development will be an advantage
• Minimum 2 years Spring Framework experience an advantage
• Minimum 5 years JPA experience and knowledge of ORM Technologies
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in DevOps (Azure DevOps preferable) – Jenkins, Urban Code, Docker
• Minimum 5 years’ experience building SOAP and Restful Webservices
• Minimum 5 years’ experience code management using version control system such as Git 
• Minimum 5 years JAVA Development experience
• Minimum 5 years Database SQL Development experience (preferably in DB2)
• Computer Science, IT)/ Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degree
• Systems Development/Coding/Programming – 5 years
• Technical Impact, analysis and design exposure – 3 Years
