Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Minimum of (1) year experience in IT Department. Must have NQF Level 5 Certificate in Information Technology environment. A+, N+ certificate will be an added advantage.
Knowledge in supporting BAS, PERSAL, SAP, SRM and Microsoft package. Good written and verbal Communication skills. Valid Driver’s license will be advantageous.
Duties :
Manage and install, configure and upgrade operating system and software, using standard business and administrative package. Install, assemble and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals, such as cables and printers.
Help in maintaining departmental LAN. Act as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data. Analyse and monitor the ICT connectivity environment. Advise on technical changes in the ICT environment.
Help Manage overall ICT systems security and disaster recovery. Liaise between management and users. Anticipate and manage ICT risk e.g. virus threats, power outages, leakage of information, etc. Help manage and maintain all ICT equipment. Provide first line technical support and maintain WAN/LAN and desktop for all users.
Minimize service disruption by operating, support and maintaining day to day operational issues. Attend to user complaints. Install and update software of all systems. Record keeping, Manage telecommunications/ telephone management system. Participate in activities that will promote the institution ICT integrity e.g. Adhere to the Code of conduct.
