IFRS Actuary 

Our client providers of world-class trade and commercial insurance products with a focus on specialised risk insurance are currently seeking the expertise of a IFRS Actuary to join their Capital and Investment Management team. The Capital and Investment management team provide treasury and capital management, group regulatory and financial reporting, group risk and compliance, IT infrastructure, architecture, and data management, group executive services and central services to the wider group. 

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to bring their strong reserving and reporting experience to the team supporting the implementation of IFRS 17 within the organisation and its global alliance partners. The focus of the role will involve Actuarial Modelling in line with IFRS17 requirements as well as data collection and analysis. Applicants will have the opportunity to apply an innovative mindset in designing process solutions with a strong focus on digitisation and automation.

Requirements: 

Experience:

• Understanding / involvement in business processes and organisational structures
• Strong Reserving/Reporting experience
• General insurance experience advantages
• IFRS 17 / IFRS experience is desirable but not necessary
• Project management experience desirable but not necessary
• Understanding of risk based prudential standards such as Solvency Assessment and Management desirable but not necessary

Qualifications:

• Nearly or newly qualified Actuary
