In Service Trainee at The Heineken Company

Purpose of the position:

• The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year/completed their studies and require exposure in a work environment or practical work experience to obtain their qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract commencing 01 May 2026 and terminating on 31 March 2027.

 Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):

• Quality Control and Assurance (Intrinsic and extrinsic control, Quality Management Systems; etc)
• Research and development.
• Production and process

To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

• South African Citizen
• Satisfactory academic record and in final year of obtaining relevant tertiary qualification or completed (National Diploma/ Degree in Chemical engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food technology, or any other relevant Life Science/Engineering qualification).
• Basic computer literacy.
• Sound communication and presentation skills.
• Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to cope with inherent physical demands of the position.
• Willing and able to work extended hours.
• Reliable transport to and from place of work.
• Must be willing, able, and committed to enter and complete 12-month internship programme.

Prospective interns must submit the following documents:

• Covering letter/ Motivational letter,
• A curriculum vitae,
• Academic record i.e., Certified Grade 12 certificate and tertiary academic transcript.
• A letter from the tertiary institution, stating Inservice Training requirements and the format for evaluation,
• A format for evaluation, required by the tertiary institution,
• Certified copies of Identity Document.
