    Industrial Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing (42242)

    Job Description

    • Our client, a Manufacturer of automotive body parts, is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize production processes and drive operational efficiency. If you are passionate about continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, this role is for you.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Industrial (BTech, BSc, or BEng) - Non-Negotiable
    • Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role within the automotive manufacturing sector, experience with other manufacturing will be considered.
    • Strong project management and continuous improvement expertise.
    • Experience with process optimization and SAP (advantageous).
    • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for Kaizen opportunities.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Visio & SAP.
    • Ability to work shifts, overtime, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Streamline workflows and conduct productivity studies to eliminate inefficiencies.
    • Plan and allocate manpower resources to meet production requirements.
    • Optimize factory layouts for space utilization, material flow, and safety.
    • Implement quality control procedures and lead process improvement initiatives.
    • Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements and new implementations.
    • Utilize data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
    • Conduct time studies and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
    • Design and implement shift patterns, adjusting as needed to improve productivity.
    • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations.
    • Manage Engineering Change Implementation (ECI) processes, overseeing changes to specific parts and handling all project management aspects related to those changes.
    • Improve overall efficiencies and value-adding activities.
    • Drive general system optimization and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
    • Collaborate effectively with business units, ensuring seamless communication and information gathering.
    • Develop and maintain Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for various projects.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing (TPS) and Kaizen principles.
