Join our team as an Industrial Painter for surface preparation and coating application in various sectors such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical.
Responsibilities:
Perform surface preparation using abrasive blasting, mechanical tools, or chemical cleaning methods
Apply industrial coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, fireproofing, and anti-corrosion systems
Ensure correct coating thickness (DFT) and uniform application
Read and interpret technical data sheets, method statements, and coating specifications
Mix coatings in accordance with manufacturer and project requirements
Conduct pre- and post-inspection of surfaces and coatings
Identify defects (runs, sags, pinholes, blistering) and carry out repairs
Maintain painting and blasting equipment in safe working
Skills:
Grade 12
Valid Spray painter certificate
2 -3 years experience as industrial painter within the Oil industry
