Purpose

Take ownership of all information systems (the most significant being the ERP system) and support structures, ensuring:

• the systems deliver the requisite functionality required by the business to achieve strategic objectives, and

• system users are adequately supported and empowered to use the systems optimally.

Key performance areas

• Partner with the business to ensure their information system requirements are fully understood and ensure information systems deliver the requisite functionality, aligning with the business strategic requirements.

• Ensure the business get appropriate systems support in the form of training, issue resolution and service requests.

• Define and manage an effective business continuity plan in relation to information systems functionality, ensuring information systems are adequately secured at all times.

• Lead, mentor and manage the information systems support team, ensuring:

1. each team member is appropriately skilled and empowered to provide the necessary information systems support to users.

2. Information system service desk tickets are addressed within defined service levels.

• Manage the relationships and contracts with support partners and vendors, ensuring they deliver in line with expectations.

• Manage information system projects (SDLC etc).

• Fully understand the reporting and BI components of the information systems landscape to be able to stand in as backup for the BI & IT Business Analyst.

• Maintain and continuously evolve your knowledge and skills in the areas related to your role to ensure you are able to enable the business to benefit from changes to the systems and technology landscape.
