• A leading organization is seeking an experienced ICT Security Manager/Specialist to develop and implement a robust information security strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning cybersecurity initiatives with international best practices and standards, including NIST, ISO 2700x, and COBIT 19. This role will safeguard critical systems, data, and infrastructure while managing risks and responding to security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and enforce security strategies and policies (aligned with ISO 27001, ISO 27005, COBIT 19).
• Implement and manage an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing.
• Respond to and manage security incidents in compliance with ISO 27035.
• Develop technical controls to defend against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Maintain business continuity strategies as per ISO 27031 and COBIT DSS04.
• Use threat intelligence to improve cybersecurity defences.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g., POPIA, Cybercrimes Act).
• Prepare security reports and present to internal committees and leadership.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Education: Degree or diploma in Information Technology is recommended.
• Certifications: CISM, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years in IT, including 5 years focused on information security.
• Proven experience in security operations, incident handling, and risk management.
