    Information Technology Training Manager

    Responsible for the IT Training function across Bowmans Inc. This involves the planning, directing, delivering and overseeing of the development and implementation of all training initiatives to achieve the firm’s overall strategic goals. 

    Experience and Qualifications: 

    • 8-10 years’ in a similar role with at least 5 years’ at a management level in a professional services environment
    • Must be able to communicate at Executive level
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced training experience
    • Good knowledge of adult learning methodologies
    • Excellent knowledge of WebEx.
    • 5 years’ experience in developing and designing templates and training material.
    • IT related degree/diploma or relevant experience essential
    • Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Trainer, registration as a Microsoft Certified Professional, Certificate in technical and business writing and facilitator training preferable  

    Job Accountabilities:

    Management of BGAG IT training

    • Direct the formal and informal training on all platforms utilized within BGAG.
    • Directing the Learning Needs Analyses process
    • Support HR training needs analyses and delivery according to individual plans.
    • Monitor and evaluate training programs’ effectiveness and success and provide report periodically to the Head of IT.
    • Direct the preparation of the training environment.

    Direction of design, development and compilation of training material

    • Design, develop and compile training material in consultation with relevant stakeholders. Training material includes but is not limited to learning videos, training manuals, online training resources, multimedia visual aids and firm wide templates.
    • Ensure all training material is technologically current and that it adheres to the firm’s standards of excellence and branding requirements.
    • Implement e-learning techniques for IT Training and, where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages
    • Manage and maintain the Firm’s IT Learning Services Library

    Application Support/Systems Administration

    • Manage team that responds to help desk application support queries
    • Manage staff profiles on all IT systems

     

    IT Strategy

    • Contribute to the overall IT strategy 

    IT/Business Project Management

    • Manage the training component of IT and business projects
    • Contribute to other IT projects/initiatives as required  

    Research

    • Conduct research into the latest trends, products and methodologies in the IT Training space.
    • Communicate the relevant technologies to the appropriate stakeholders within the Firm
    • Conduct Proof of concept testing of new templates and products.
    • Conduct research to understand all core components of what is shipped with each integrated product.  

    Management and Leadership

    • Manages own teams performance to ensure delivery of the approved IT training strategy across designated departments
    • Gives regular, comprehensive and constructive feedback to team and conducts their performance appraisals with the Head of IT.
    • Proactively seek feedback from team members and deals constructively with any criticism
    • Adjust management style to get the best from the individuals within the team
    • Delegates work to team members taking into account their capacity, level of skill and exposure to different types of work and complexity; provides clear instructions and direction, with reasonable deadlines

    Relationship Building

    • Develop and maintain relationships with Partners, Executive and Business Services Management as a trusted IT software advisor
    • Develop and maintain relationships with all individuals below management level as a trusted IT software advisor
    • Maintain strong working relationships with and have open and transparent communication between all members of the IT team
