    Initiative Lead: Alternate Channel Solutions


    Metropolitan is a leading insurance company, and subsidiary of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Pty Ltd. Our goal is to help our clients meet their financial goals, through a full basket of financial solutions including life cover, funeral, savings and retirement solutions. 


    • Reporting into the Chief Information Officer, this role requires a deliver focused IT Lead or Product Owner who will lead a team of cross functional individuals responsible for designing, and implementing innovative software solutions to support the company’s digital channels – namely telephony and web
    • The ideal candidate would have a strong technical background in IT with past experience as a developer, business analyst and/or product owner working in an Agile environment.
    • Preference would be given to individuals with past management experience and have deep knowledge of web technologies and how they might be used to enhance client experience and bring about business efficiencies.


    • Leading a software development team (developers, architect, testers, business analyst, UX/CX designer and scrum master) responsible for web development, and VOIP telephony solutions used in our sales and service call centers.
    • Take ownership of the website and support the various stakeholders that utilize the website as a platform for brand and product marketing, leads management, and client engagement.
    • Engage with various stakeholders to understand their business challenges and craft innovative solutions that add business value.
    • Work with various IT teams and/or external vendors to translate business requirements, identify dependencies and put together an execution delivery plan
    • Participate in various technology guilds and forums to ensure the establishment of best practices and maximize the delivery efficiencies for our IT teams.


    • Relevant IT qualification
    • 5+ years’ experience as a software developer, system/business analyst or product owner
    • 3+ years’ in a leadership or IT management role
    • Experience with web technologies, and software integration
    • Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud computing
    • Experience working in a Scrum or Kanban environment


    • Past experience in financial services
    • Experience working on enterprise websites
    • Experience with VOIP technologies and telephony products/platforms
    • Familiarity with chatbots and AI
