    Inside Sales Account Representative (Renewals) - South Africa

    Job Summary

    Help our customers and partners make business and IT transformations through our services and solutions. The Red Hat Sales team in the Sub-Saharan Africa region is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join us in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you'll handle relationships with our small and medium business accounts across Sub-Saharan Africa. You’ll have a great opportunity to work with multicultural internal and external teams to improve business and create solutions that serve Red Hat and our top-tier customers. This position is open to internal candidates only. Outside candidates, including referrals, are not being accepted at this time.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Identify, progress, and close business in assigned territory
    • Work closely with our partners and distributors to build a solid sales team
    • Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new opportunities and renewing and growing existing relationships
    • Build up your own pipeline
    • Maintain forecasting and pipeline management
    • Track customer data in a customer relationship management (CRM) tool
    • Sell company's offerings, systems, or services over phone and promote new business generation for dedicated accounts via phone
    • Prepare bids and contracts
    • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals
    • Serve as a point of contact to support functions like Deal Desk or Legal for your assigned territory
       

    Required Skills

    • 2+ years of experience working in a software sales related role
    • Demonstrated understanding of sales processes
    • Demonstrated accountability by completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
    • Ability to forecast and follow up on activities
    • Experience with and ability to use standard CRM tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
    • Ability to work with with teams across the region and company to facilitate deals
    • Interest in the software industry with the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge
