    Instrumentation Engineer

    THE ROLE

    • Our client, operating in the chemical manufacturing sector, seeks an Instruments and Analyzer Engineer to join their team based in Durban.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

    • BSc/BEng in Electronic Engineering or an alternative Qualification in Process Instrumentation
    • 5 Years Process control and Instrumentation from a chemical/industrial background
    • Good interpersonal effectiveness
    • Productivity focus
    • Technical capability
    • Initiative and strong assertiveness
    • Experience interfacing different control systems, embedded in other technologies such as PLC to DCS
    • Experience in Plant Legislative Requirements on Safety Instrumented Systems and associated equipment
    • Experience in YOKOGAWA and SIEMENS Control Systems
    • Knowledge of the following Control Systems:
      • Advanced Process Control (APC)
      • Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
      • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
      • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
