Instrumentation Mechanician - Sasolburg at AECI Limited

Job Description

• Perform Schedule/Preventative maintenance tasks to minimize plant down-time.
• Do improvements, new installations and modifications to plant & equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns.
• Ensure safe operation of plant & equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Must be prepared to work overtime and standby as and when required.
• Must be able to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
• Proven planning & fault-finding ability.
• Must be able to obtain a certificate of fitness.

Qualifications & Experience

• N3 Instrumentation qualification with trade test.
• Trade test certificate (red seal).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
• Must have sound knowledge of the principals of flow, pressure, temperature and level measurement.
• Knowledge of bus systems, profi bus, ASI bus and Fieldbus foundation bus would be advantageous.
• Burner experience will be advantageous.
• ABB freelance experience will be advantageous.
