Integration Platforms Lead at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Job Description

• Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Integration Platforms Squad Lead, reporting into the Integration and Engineering Platforms Tribe Lead, owns the end-to-end health, delivery, and operational performance of Dis-Chem’s integration platforms.
• This platform enables reliable, secure, and governed data exchange across retail, customer, core, and external partner systems through APIs, events, batch interfaces, and middleware.
• The role leads a cross-functional squad responsible for designing, building, and operating reusable integration capabilities that reduce point-to-point complexity, protect data integrity, and enable scalable platform-to-platform connectivity across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years’ experience in integration platforms, middleware, or enterprise systems
• Proven experience leading cross-functional delivery teams or platform squads
• Experience in complex, multi-system enterprise environments preferred

Responsibilities

Platform ownership and roadmap

• Own execution of the integration platforms roadmap within the Integration Platforms Tribe
• Shape priorities, dependencies, and sequencing with the Tribe Lead and Product Owners
• Drive standardisation and reuse of integration patterns, APIs, and messaging frameworks
• Reduce point-to-point integrations and technical debt across the landscape

Delivery and operations

• Lead the integration squad delivering interfaces, APIs, events, and middleware capabilities
• Ensure stable operation of integrations, including monitoring, alerting, error handling, and recovery
• Own release planning, testing, and production support for integration changes
• Proactively manage incidents, root-cause analysis, and prevention of repeat failures

Governance and collaboration

• Ensure integrations comply with enterprise architecture, integration standards, and security requirements
• Coordinate closely with Application Platform squads, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Data teams
• Manage integration tooling and vendor partners within tribe-level governance frameworks
• Escalate architectural, data-integrity, capacity, or priority trade-offs as required

Competencies

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns (APIs, events, batch, messaging)
• Experience operating high-reliability, data-critical platforms
• Ability to balance delivery speed with platform stability and governance
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills across technical teams
