Integration Support Engineer at Paracon

The role

They are actively looking for an Integration Support Engineer to join their team in Cape Town.  You will be responsible for assisting with the build-out, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of the company’s infrastructure. To apply, you need to have Matric and an IT-related tertiary qualification combined with an IBM WebSphere MQ administrator certification and a Linux and/or Windows certification.

You need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the following:

• Working with Linux, Windows and AIX environments;
• Working with IBM WebSphere Broker and MQ;
• Working with SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL);
• Production and standby support;
• Custom scripting;
• Installation, configuration, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools;
• Incident management; and,
• Working in a DevOps environment (Min 3 years).

Adding to the abovementioned experience, your skills need to cover:

• Infrastructure Security (Active Directory, firewalls, file/folder permissions, OS user management, access control list, and TLS certificates);
• Managing DHCP, DNS, FTP, SFTP, HTTP and HTTPS;
• LAN and WAN;
• Enterprise Integration Patterns;
• SDLC; and,
• Agile methodologies (SCRUM, LEAN, Kanban).
