Internal Auditor at Country Bird Holdings Ltd (CBH)

Minimum Requirements    

• BCom degree.
• Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, etc)
• At least 3 years working experience in a similar type of industry.
• Valid driver’s licence, with own transportation
• Willing to travel (approximately 40%) nationally and into Africa.
• Keep abreast of legislation changes.
• Knowledge and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Team player, approachable, receptive to feedback from others
• Display levels of patience and understanding.
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Able to build rapport at all levels, interact confidently.
• Good listening skills, actively clarifying what has been communicated to ensure understanding.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Completion of system description with regards to audit processes
• Understands control objectives and frameworks.
• Understands the concept of internal controls.
• Understands systems and processes within organisations.
• Drafting audit programmes.
• Perform tests on current controls.
• Collect and analyse data to detect deficient controls and/or control weaknesses.
• Request all necessary documentation that can be used as evidence in testing.
• Drafting formal and informal queries and submit to person responsible and discuss findings of the audit.
• Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations.
• Discusses implementation dates of recommendations with the client.
