    Internal Auditor

    The responsibilities of the position include:

    • Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control testing to evaluate the design, Implementation and effectiveness of controls 
    • Identify and assess areas of significant business risk
    • Determining internal audit scope and develop annual plans
    • Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc.
    • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results, recommend control and process improvement as well as document processes
    • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
    • Identify control weaknesses and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
    • Maintain open communication with Management and relevant Executives
    • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management interventions
    • Continuous knowledge development regarding Industry rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards

     

    In order to be considered for the position, the following Technical requirements must be met:

    • Matric
    • Completed relevant B.Comm degree
    • Min 3 years’ experience in Internal Audit
    • Advanced MS Office, especially Excel
    • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
    • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
    • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem solving skills
    • Sound independent judgement
    • CIA, CISA or Forensic Audit would be an advantage
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
