Internet & Data Network Technician: Welkom, Free State at FS Personnel Recruitment

• Negotiable, depending on experience and technical ability, Plus a small commission of approximately R500 – R1 000 p/m.
• Company vehicle (if required), fuel assistance, standby/call-out allowance, and 50% medical aid contribution after successful probation.

 Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Standby duty every second week after hours and weekends.
• Travel limited to Welkom and surrounding areas (no overnight stays).

 Desired experience and qualifications:

• Matric
• Previous experience in internet, networking or telecommunications installations
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi setups, routers, switches and network equipment
• Experience with fibre, wireless and/or LTE technologies advantageous
• Relevant IT, Networking or Telecommunications qualification/certification advantageous
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid Code B driver’s licence
• Basic computer skills

 Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Install, configure and maintain internet connections and network systems for residential and business clients.
• Diagnose and resolve network, internet and equipment faults.
• Install and maintain routers, switches, access points and related equipment.
• Perform basic cabling, testing and network repairs.
• Provide professional customer service and after-sales technical support.
• Complete installation and service reports.
• Manage tools, equipment and stock.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety procedures.
• Assist with technical projects and stay updated with new technologies.
