Group Investment Platform (GIP) is building a new and exciting financial services business which will provide a leading-edge investment platform and supporting services to independent financial advisers as well as tied advisers within Standard Bank and Liberty. Group Investment Platform is able to leverage the latest global technologies to build an investment platform based on modern architecture and straight through processing.
This will deliver a highly competitive proposition based on customer centricity and digital enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Processing LISP Finance reconciliations on the platform, including all Cash and Asset portfolios within agreed SLA.
Ensuring any discrepancies or breaks are investigated and corrected as fast as possible, with any detriment treated in a customer centric manner.
Systems knowledge, including business processes that align to Procedure documents
Ensuring the reconciliations is audit compliant and run with robust quality and control.
Proactively identify problems, apply known solutions and escalate more difficult problems.
Responsible for reporting, including daily, weekly and monthly stats.
Build stakeholder relationships across departments and within the Investment Administration Unit.
Build relationships with Mancos and other third parties involved in the trading cycle.
Build effective controls and measures to mitigate any Financial or Reputational risk to the organization.
Support for the wider LISP team
Taking ownership of assigned and required internal projects; so as to meet both internal as well as BU specific expectations, in identifying and managing risk, and putting forward high quality value add recommendations.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in Operational Finance Team
Experience in Reconciliations with High volume transactions (advantageous)
Experience in a Financial Adviser firm or Investment Platform business.
Experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
Experience in solving problems for customers (internal or external).
Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams.
Experience at working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant Commerce Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
