Acumen Software is currently looking for an iOS Mobile developer with 4+ years of solid experience, developing highly resilient mobile applications in iOS.

Check it out at www.forcelink.net Acumen Software has its headquarters in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg, a regional office in Stellenbosch, and its European headquarters in Waterford in the Republic of Ireland.

The successful candidate will report directly to the CTO and will have the choice to work from Stellenbosch or Johannesburg. The successful candidate will focus on the development of the new iOS version of the Forcelink Mobile Field Services ERP.

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science Degree + Honors, or Science/Electrical Engineering Degree or an equivalent graduate degree from a leading University.

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience in native iOS, SDK, Swift and XCode.
• Experience of RESTful APIs integration, and knowledge of common 3rd party Realm on-device database.
• Experience with iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices using modern design patterns
• Experience with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Performance tuning Experience
• Experience of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
• Experience of storage mechanisms, threading, lifecycles
• General experience with Web Services, and with test tools like Postman.
• Ability to work with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Well versed in Git and/or SVN.
• A good understanding of storage mechanisms, threading, lifecycles.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle within an Agile environment
• Experience with publishing to the App Store.

Optional Technical Skills:

• Android development skills would be advantageous.
• Specific knowledge in Mobile Work Management solutions would be advantageous.

General Skills:

• Proven analytical skills and ability to quickly interpret and apply user/business requirements to the proposed technical specifications and solutions.
• Inherent, methodical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A positive can-do attitude is critical.
• Ability to work within a team as a team player.
• Able to work both from home alone or at the office with a team.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing including modelling and documenting solutions and standards.

Conditions of Employment

• Salary is Highly Negotiable between R40,000 and R60,000 per month
