Job Description

• Responsible to consult and advise clients on irrigation design and provide technical irrigation services and sales on site.

Requirements

• The suitable candidate must have a Grade 12 certificate.
• The suitable candidate must have three years of relevant experience.
• Irrigation Design (SABI) Certificate 
• Valley Module A, B, C, D, E experience
• Model Maker Design (Drip, Micro, Sprinkler, Pivots) experience
• Drivers License

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical surveys on farms.
• Facilitate client expectations (water licence requirements and envisaged crop water requirement). Prepare conceptional irrigation design and discuss with client.
• Prepare a final detailed design.
• Compile a final bill of quantities.
• Liaise with the Operation Head with regards to costing.
• Ensure delivery of irrigation products.
• On-farm technical irrigation services and sales:
• Understand and address the clients specific irrigation needs after conducting an analysis and identifying problem solving methods.
• Ensure fault-finding with irrigation equipment and ensure the performance thereof.
• Evaluate the irrigation systems and pump stations according to Agricultural Research Commission (ARC) standards.
