Applying best practice IT risk frameworks, principles, processes and governance
Proactively identifying risks that may harm the IT environment and related mitigations
Liaising with corporate legal to identify regulatory requirements and related risks
Tracking potential sources of risk, conducting risk assessments, testing risk mitigation control effectiveness
Facilitating internal IT audits and other independent audits and assurance assessments by clarifying the terms of each engagement, tracking and monitoring progress, reviewing final reports for validity and accuracy of issues raised, ensuring resolution timelines are reasonable
Tracking resolution of audit issues within agreed timelines in order to ensure outcomes contribute to improving operational efficiency and risk mitigation
Education needed:
Baseline
At least 5 years IT risk and 2 years in IT audit related work experience
B.Comm. or equivalent degree/advanced diploma in IT (NQF level 7)
Knowledge of IT processes
Experience working with auditors & IT staff
Advantageous
Post-graduate degree in IT with a focus on IT risk
Certification in CobIT, ITIL and/or ISO risk management
Experience with using automated governance risk and compliance systems
Experience with assessing and documenting risks
Ability to develop and present management reports
Ability to state opinions clearly and manage risk stakeholders
Understanding of identity and access management for SAP systems
