The IT Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of all IT initiatives to realise business enablement benefits, by managing demand, owning portfolio, programme and project practice; ensuring IT governance; as well as overseeing the DevOps landscape and processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, managing, and controlling of IT delivery across all programmes and projects.
Ensuring the portfolio of IT project work is coordinated and delivered in accordance with IT Roadmap.
Driving visibility of IT roadmap and integration into IT Portfolio and Governance Cadence.
Own delivery & demand management process (ensuring successful achievement of project objectives part of the bigger programme portfolio)
Own architecture (application and integration – aligning with Front- and Back-office solution owners, as well as IM/BI and Infrastructure platform owners)
Own DevOps processes (assuming overall scrum master role, and ensuring all delivery and operations processes adhere to the dev/ops approach)
Own the relationship with 3rd party development service providers (in the web, D365 and integration space – and ensuring alignment with IM/BI 3rd party development)
Own the integration framework & platform
Own all 3rd party data integration (customers/resellers, platform providers)
Lead a team consisting of: solution architect/senior developer, senior developer, developer/analyst, junior scrum master/coordinator, and test analyst roles.
Engage internally (within the technology team) with Front-office (Sales and Marketing), Back-office (Finance, Operations, Warehousing, Merchandising/Planning), IM & Analytics, and Infrastructure teams.
REQUIREMENTS
NQF 7 IT
Project Management certification (Desirable)
5 years' experience within IT environment as a project manager
Experience in the wholesale or retail environment
Working with multiple cross-skilled teams, including remote / offshore teams
Experience managing teams delivering IT implementations and involving cross-functional teams in waterfall and agile environments
Knowledge
Understanding of web solution development and related technologies
Knowledge of application development methodologies, agile and related techniques (e.g. Kanban, DevSecOPS)

Ability to contextualise solutions within business environment
