IT Engineer Intern at Bayport Financial Services

Description

• The IT Engineers role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers, and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.

EDUCATION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Information Technology

CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING COURSES

• A+ N+ Server+ (advantageous)
• MCP (advantageous)
• MS Azure Knowledge (advantageous)

DESIRED / PREFFERED REQUIREMENTS

• Effective in working with people of different cultures and values.
• Maintain strong initiative and attention to details in a high-pressure situation.
• Interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Provide efficient IT Support on second level and drive to continuously improve IT support offering.
• Must be willing to remain updated with regards to his/her skills levels and remain Microsoft Certified
• Able to work in a team environment and follow instructions. Must have integrity.
• Be willing to work overtime if and when required.
• Ability to work on Mac and Windows.
• MS Azure Knowledge (advantageous)
