    IT Intern

    INTRODUCTION

    ROLE PURPOSE

    Develop, maintain and support a portfolio of software applications and services to ensure improved business efficiencies and that are aligned to the enterprise architecture and business strategy

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Interns must have achieved a National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12)

    • 3 year degree or diploma in IT(I.e Computer Science; Informatics; etc) , ( majoring in Programming)

    • Only South African youth may be registered on an internship

    • Be aged between 18 and 35

    • Be unemployed

    • Previously disadvantaged candidates

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

    • Ensure that the correct standards, disciplines and processes are followed.

    • Take accountability for the correct functioning of the key activities within this area as per agreed standards.

    • Take responsibility for all phases of testing activities within Retail IT

    • Assist the test manager with the implementation of performance testing

    • Assist the test manager with the implementation of security testing

    • Contribute to the organisational goals by ensuring that quality business systems are implemented through test automation

    • Establish and maintain an end-to-end test regression pack across development teams

    • Facilitating test automation across the Retail IT systems development life cycle

    • Manage effectiveness of testing processes

    • Help sustain and improve the existing testing framework
