Summary

• International Company is recruiting an IT Operations Engineer/Team Lead with 8 years minimum experience.  
• Contract start asap in 2023 until December 2026.
• Only South African citizens or Permanent Residents with SA ID number may apply.
• Hybrid work between Midrand, Menlyn & Rosslyn and remotely from home.
• Must be willing and able to travel internationally.
• Salary market-related and negotiable.

Description

• Action and resolve IM (Incident Management) tickets.
• Action and resolve CIM (Critical Incident Management) tickets as required.
• Raise and lead tasks PM (Problem Management) tickets as identified.
• Action and coordinate CM (Change Management) tasks and tickets as required.
• Assist user departments in drafting system requirement documentation based on business processes.
• Perform daily system handover and start-up tasks to ensure operational readiness of systems.
• Ensure that all processes have been investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements.
• Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives.
• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

• IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications.
• 8 years in a similar role and at least 5 years of Team Lead experience.

Technical skills and experience required:

• Experience with enterprise network configurations.
• Experience with Databases.
• Experience with ITIL processes.
• IT experience delivering operations support services.
• Expert knowledge of modern browsers like Edge Chromium and Google Chrome.
• Experience with browser extensions and governance via GPO and policies.
• Experience with securing web browsers on different OS platforms.
• A sound knowledge of IT security requirements for enterprise IT solutions.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, policies, and support procedures.
• Experience with Scripting (Powershell, Bash etc.).

• Working knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Working knowledge of end-user computing environment.
• Microsoft Active Directory and GPO.
• Experience with Windows Client Technologies (such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Browsers, Scripting, Registry, System Management Tools).
• Working knowledge of the following communication and connectivity systems: Microsoft TCP/IP, networking protocols, Internet application connectivity.
