IT Scrum Master at Public Investment Corporation

Purpose of the role:

• Enable the team to use Scrum effectively and continuously improve.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant degree in IT, Business Studies or similar
• Five years’ experience, three in product delivery or software development teams
• Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage
• Relevant Agile and Scrum Master certifications
• Project Management or Prince 2 certification
• Agile foundation certified, Scrum certification preferred
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Duties:

• Organise and facilitate product delivery planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
• Facilitate team ceremonies
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
• Maintain product delivery documentation
• Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution
• Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions.
• Empower the team to self-organise.
• Ensure prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility are practised in the teams
• Communicate with stakeholders on product issues.
• Assist as needed with backlog maintenance.
• Assist with prioritisation
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
