Overview
The IT Support Engineer is located at the Kemin site in Olifantsfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa but will be part of the EMEA IT Support team. The candidate will have to resolve IT related issues and create solutions for each Kemin Business Unit in such region. The IT Support Engineer should be easily adaptable and curious, with the aim to learn and teach different application systems.
Responsibilities
Support all daily issues on site.
Provide 1st line support on all aspects of IT for the Kemin operations in the EMEA Region.
Record & follow up issues in Kemin's IT helpdesk system.
IT related contracts management.
Keep asset inventory up to date.
Train new employees on our system.
Purchase and install PCs & printers and keep them updated, following guidelines of the more skilled engineer.
Communicate and negotiate with vendors, providers and subcontractors.
Implement projects to improve the IT infrastructure, following detailed instructions in English.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in IT.
Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT support role, software and hardware orientated.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Good knowledge of PC's, Windows OS, Office 365, AD, Networking.
Knowledge of Sharepoint ,power query or other software would be an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and capable to follow complex instructions.
Good customer service skills.
Be self-organizing and able to prioritize tasks.
