We are seeking an IT Support Technician with a focus on the hospitality supply sector. In this role, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems that facilitate effective service delivery in the industry. You will be a key player in enhancing the technology experience for staff and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front-line technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to IT systems and applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users in the hospitality sector.
Set up and configure workstations, servers, and network equipment to support operational needs.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, collaborating with the IT team as needed.
Maintain accurate records of technical support requests and solutions in the ticketing system.
Conduct regular system checks and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
Train staff on new technologies and systems to enhance their proficiency and satisfaction.
Assist in the implementation and management of software updates, patches, and security measures.
Requirements
Proven track record in IT support or technical assistance, preferably within the hospitality supply sector.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as mobile device management.
Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse users.
Capability to manage multiple tasks and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous.
Experience with hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and system migrations.
Understanding of data protection regulations and best practices.
