    IT Technical Operational Services

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain standards across the Technical Operations Services department.
    • Act as link between end users and higher level support.
    • Provide technical support or training for systems and networks to end users and junior employees.
    • Ownership of asset management.
    • Ensure adherence to the approval process for software, hardware and licenses.
    • Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality.
    • Ownership of the IT new starter, mover and leaver process.
    • Provide support to junior employees.
    • Adhere to the ISO and ISMS policies.
    • Able to understand user requirements and technical details.
    • Ensure adherence to service levels as defined by Group IT.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,or other related field, or equivalent work experience

    Desirable:

    • Additional course or certification in Testing
    • ITIL Foundation
    • Microsoft certification

    General:

    • Professional attitude. Has developed a reputation as a trusted advisor.
    • Good stakeholder facing skills, with experience in developing partnerships with the team and
    • stakeholders and collaborating with others to exceed expectations.
    • Good problem-solving skills. Has experience in proposing different options and solutions for
    • approaching and resolving issues.
    • Adaptable and responds positively to changing business issues. Sees change as an opportunity to improve performance.
    • Excellent communication skills. Adapts style accordingly and demonstrates an understanding of the audience’s perspective. Uses discretion when dealing with sensitive information

    Technical:

    • Adequate knowledge of computer software and hardware and operating systems.
    • Able to understand networking requirements and implementation.
    • Understanding of service desk tools and processes.
    • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.

    Management:

    • Good people skills, has experience in supporting others in raising their performance and working
    • out their development goals.
    • Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high.
    •  Good self management, can set and work to quantified goals and standards, delivers by being aware of and considering the commercial impacts.
    • Must be flexible, independent and self motivated.

    Budget:

    • Ability to manage own expenses and adhere to the expense policy.
    • No specific budget assigned.
