IT Tester - Software and Networks at MECS (Pty) Ltd

• Conduct lab tests and field trails and work with systems engineers and developers to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing and defect tracking form discovery to resolution.
• Conduct manual and automation testing.
• Manage field trial phase of products.
• Finalize documentation for release.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical qualification
• 3+ years of QA/Testing
• Experience with all aspects of testing including test planning, test design, test execution, and test evaluation.
• Experience with Development (Alpha testing) and Operational (Beta testing) testing and evaluation, in staging and production environments.
• Experience with software development life cycles (Agile & V-Model) and system testing methodologies (Unit Testing, Smoke testing, Sanity testing, Integration Testing, Interface Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, UAT, OAT).
• Experience with developing test procedures and scenarios using manual methods or automated test tools (such as TestLink, Jenkins, Postman).
• Experience with creating and maintaining requirements traceability matrixes.
• Experience with using defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Experience with Gitlab.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised software applications (Docker).
• Experience using Windows operating systems such as Windows 7, 8 and 10.
• Experience using Linux and Linux-based operating systems such as Ubuntu.
• Experience using VMWare or Workstation or Player.
• Experience with creating and maintaining requirements traceability matrixes.
• In depth understanding of network infrastructure and different network configurations.
• Experience in the set up of network infrastructure.
