Java Backend Engineer is required for a software development company based in Utrecht. My client is passionate within their industry and a high-quality consultancy company that was founded for developers by developers.

Role Responsibilities:
Use your expertise in software development to join client teams and work on their software challenges (ranging from modernization of the codebase to building microservices from scratch, assisting with architecture design, or acting as Scrum Master for internal client teams). It’s up to you to tell us what kind of project will make you happy!
Build your personal development plan together with founders (certifications, trainings, conferences)
Work on own projects ½ day per month during the internal ‘half meetup day’
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a software engineer within the Java ecosystem
Solid Software Engineering basis backed up with a degree: Bachelor or Master
Experience with well-known frameworks within the Java ecosystem, such as Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, Micronaut, Quarkus, etc.
Experience working with Microservices or event-driven architectures, APIs, REST
Familiar with Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, GCP or Azure
Having worked with Kotlin is a big plus, but we are more than happy to teach you everything you need to know about Kotlin!
