Java Tech Lead (IoT) - Johannesburg at DigiCert, Inc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are in the market for a Java Tech Lead (IoT) to join a new agile cross functional team as a technical leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building, maintaining and evolving software, as well as partnering with engineering leaders to implement industry best practices, and providing timely solutions to customer issues.

This is a remote position

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Build, maintain, and evolve RESTful web services in Java
• Collaborate with and mentor the team in the design, development, deployment and evolution of high-quality code
• Engage with engineering leaders to implement industry best practices
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects
• Provide timely solutions to customer issues
• Develop a deep understanding of PKI products, architecture, and system
• Investigating software-related complaints and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal software performance

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• 7+ years of professional experience developing in an object-oriented language (Java preferred)
• Expertise developing and consuming RESTful Web Services
• Strong knowledge of both relational and non-relational (NoSQL) database
• Experience with service-based architectures and CI/CD practices
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best-practices, design, and architecture
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Technology Stack: Java, Spring, Kubernetes, Docker, React and MariaDB
