    Journalist

    Job Description

    • Research, write, edit, proofread and file news stories, features and articles.
    • Must be used to monthly magazine deadlines and willing to work late/on weekends to make the deadline.
    • Ability to work on multiple publications (6 or more) at a time 
    • reading press releases
    • researching articles
    • establishing and maintaining contacts
    • interviewing sources
    • writing, editing and submitting copy
    • attending events
    • proofreading
    • verifying statements and facts
    • staying up to date with privacy, contempt and defamation law
    • liaising with PR companies, clients, production managers and designers.
    • Must submit a portfolio of work as part of the application
