The Junior Buyer is responsible for providing a supporting function to the Capital Buyer. Including general clerical work relating to the various computer systems, filing, photostatting, telephonic enquiries, tender enquiries and the placement of local operational purchasing requirements.

General office administration
Creating of tender enquiries and liaising with end users on the specific requirements
Daily buying (ad hoc) orders
Check specials for contract items against existing contracts
Liaison with finance for account payable enquiries/trade account queries
Liaison with internal requestors for supplies to ensure optimum specifications/description
Accurately input buying information into systems
Ensure materials meet minimum safety and technical standards
