Junior Energy Engineer at DRA Global

SENERGY is seeking a technical, innovative individual on top of the latest development in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage. A candidate keen to develop new skills for the efficient, fit-for-purpose design of renewable and hybrid power plants.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise oneself with the project specifications, standards, and procedures
• Conduct renewable energy resource assessments for solar and wind
• Evaluate the best site locations for solar PV arrays and wind turbines
• Optimise the sizing for selection of key equipment
• Design the electrical configuration for Solar Photovoltaic, Battery Energy Storage, and thermal hybrid power systems
• Design the mechanical layouts for PV Arrays
• Design the microgrid control network architecture
• Perform basic financial calculations for payback, Internal Rate of Return
• Compile material take-offs/bills of quantities
• Visit clients’ sites
• Conduct energy efficiency assessments
• Compile documentation for procurement packages
• Assist with adjudication of procurement packages
• Attend project meetings
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• Update project schedules
• Attend to vendor factory acceptance tests
• Assist with project commissioning on site
• Compile technical reports and minutes of meetings

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc (Eng) (Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic)
• BTech (Electrical or Electronic)

Experience

• Graduate
