Job description:

• PSG is recruiting for an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a Junior Finance Analyst. This role involves managing data and providing insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, proficient in Excel, and able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Manage and manipulate large datasets using advanced Excel functions and tools
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reports and analyses
• Update the cashbook daily to reflect accurate financial transactions
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and streamline financial processes
• Implement improvements to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency
• Perform regular checks on financial controls to maintain compliance and accuracy
• Assist with queries until resolution and manage expectations where necessary

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Relevant degree, diploma, or certificate in Finance or IT
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.

Recommended requirements:

• Experience in either QlikView, QlikSense or Power BI
• Financial services experience
