Junior Financial Manager at Motus Holdings Limited

Position Overview    

• A recognised Fleet Management company and Financial Services Company based in Edenvale, Johannesburg is looking for an experienced and willing Junior Financial Manager.

Specific Role Responsibilities    
Financial Controls

• Oversee and manage the Cashbook and Bookkeepers’ Team
• Oversee and manage the debtors department
• Monthly reconciliations of intercompany creditors & debtors.
• Monthly reconciliations of intercompany loans.
• Review the weekly Bank Recons and submit for review and sign off by FM
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, including general ledger and bank reconciliations
• Achieving month end deadlines and financial reporting obligations.
• Preparing management accounts on a monthly basis
• Preparation of the monthly Hyperion packs
• Ad-hoc reporting and requests from the Financial Manager.
• Report onto Head-Office BEE tracking system.
• BEE spend analysis on a monthly basis
• Prepare monthly VAT returns
• Assist Financial Manager with ad hoc projects.

Budgeting and forecasts

• Assist in budget preparation and forecasts
• Load budgets and forecasts on Hyperion pack
• Load and balance budgets, Hyperion to GP and GRID

Financial Year End

• Meet the deadline for management account finalisation
• Submit Hyperion accounting pack on time
• Close out all audit requests/findings

 Controls and learning

• Assist in the identification of internal control weaknesses and suggest/implement improvements

Qualifications and Experience    

• B.Com Accounting degree
• Articles and Honours (or studying towards) would be advantageous
• Management or overseeing a team
• Accountant experience (essential) ±3 years
• Assists in the accounting, tax and control function in the finance department
• MS Excel and MS Word literacy required at advanced level
• Hyperion & Great Plains
• Previous Fleet industry experience will be an advantage
