We have an exciting career building opportunity for a Junior Floor Manager at a well-known restaurant, situated in the heart of Stellenbosch.
Ideal Candidate:
If you have 2 – 3 years’ experience in a high-paced restaurant environment, resides in the local vicinity of Stellenbosch / Winelands area, fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English) and have your own reliable transport, we would like to hear from you! A formal hospitality qualification will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain training and provide ongoing support for front-of-house staff, including product knowledge, service standards, safety, and daily operations
Uphold food quality, correct portioning, hygiene, and cleanliness standards, while suggesting operational improvements where needed
Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards both staff and guests
Follow company procedures, monitor billing and attendance, report absenteeism, and assist with equipment control and maintenance
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods
Ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for service, with adequate stock and equipment available
Manage cash collection and ensure accurate cash-ups, taking accountability for any variances
Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety standards, ensure clean uniforms, and report any risks or suspicious matters immediately
Minimise losses due to wastage, breakage, theft, or negligence
Maintain stock levels and ensure all guest items are correctly billed
Conduct regular maintenance checks, ensure equipment is in good working order, and report any faults promptly
