Junior Installer/ Installer Assistant at West Coast Personnel

• We are looking for a Junior Installer/ Installer Assistant. The Junior Installer / Installer Assistant is responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of company products to ensure they are fitted accurately, function correctly, and meet customer expectations. The role also supports site preparation, vehicle and tool maintenance, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 3 years' installation experience, preferably in blinds or a similar industry.
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Repairs

• Assist with the installation of products according to specifications and measurements.
• Perform repairs and ensure products operate correctly.
• Test installations and repairs before completion.
• Report any site, product, or installation issues promptly.

Customer Service

• Ensure customers are satisfied with completed work.
• Assist with product demonstrations and customer sign-off where required.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner on-site.

Site & Equipment Management

• Prepare materials and tools for daily installations.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
• Maintain company tools and report any losses or damage.
• Assist with storeroom organisation and stock control.

Vehicle Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with company policies.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance requirements.
• Ensure vehicles remain clean and roadworthy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Accurate and quality installations and repairs.
• High customer satisfaction levels.
• Compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
• Proper care of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Effective support to Senior Installers and team productivity.
