KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Ethical conduct in all endeavours
• Team-oriented and reliable
• Laboratory sample reception
• Sorting out and labelling of samples
• Soil sample preparation
• Understanding of Soil Analysis techniques
• Ability to work under pressure and adherence to strict deadlines
• Demonstrate language proficiency to function optimally in the multilingual environment of the NWU

KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to receive and advise clients concerning laboratory samples
• Good client-service orientation
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Computer literacy (MS word, internet, emails and LIMS)

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12
• Diploma in soil sciences and technology - desirable
