    Junior Marketing Coordinator - Old Khaki

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Junior Marketing Coordinator will support the Brand Lead in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns, productions, and operational marketing activities.
    • This role plays a critical part in ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, production requirements are effectively managed, budgets and administration are maintained, and key stakeholders remain aligned throughout the campaign process.
    • The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, solutions-driven, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. They will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    Key Responsibilities

    Campaign Coordination

    • Support the Brand Lead with campaign planning and execution requirements.
    • Assist with campaign administration and coordination across departments.
    • Conduct competitor research and monitor industry trends.
    • Identify key cultural moments, events, and opportunities that can be leveraged within campaigns.
    • Assist with campaign presentations and supporting documentation.
    • Create and manage product information documents for completion by the merchandising team.
    • Compile and manage retouching briefs post-shoot.
    • Coordinate post-shoot image management, including obtaining imagery from photographers, briefing retouchers, managing deadlines, quality checking final assets, and ensuring imagery is stored and filed correctly.
    • Identify and coordinate tactical marketing opportunities that support key campaigns and trading periods, including engaging with shopping centres and external partners to maximise brand visibility.
    • Take and distribute meeting minutes where required and ensure follow-up actions are communicated to relevant stakeholders.

    Production Coordination

    • Coordinate shoot production administration and logistics alongside the Brand Lead.
    • Manage all sample requirements for shoots.
    • Coordinate model searches and brief model agencies on requirements.
    • Plan and facilitate model castings.
    • Coordinate hair and makeup requirements and briefing documentation.
    • Prepare and distribute production documentation.
    • Set up and coordinate styling sessions, ensuring products are organised according to campaign requirements.
    • Prepare all production requirements and logistics ahead of shoots to ensure seamless execution.
    • Attend productions where required and assist with on-the-ground coordination.
    • Ensure all samples are tracked, managed, and returned timeously following shoots.

    Trade & Promotions

    • Coordinate and manage briefing requirements for promotional campaigns and key trading events.
    • Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on promotional timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
    • Coordinate and manage the execution of sale periods, promotional campaigns, and other key trading initiatives across relevant marketing touchpoints.

    Marketing Operations & Administration

    • Process and track invoices accurately and timeously.
    • Maintain accurate records of marketing spend.
    • Manage departmental stock and sample movement processes.
    • Maintain marketing documentation, trackers, and filing systems.
    • Assist with supplier follow-ups and administrative requirements where necessary.

    Mall Marketing & Brand Visibility

    • Manage relationships with shopping mall marketing teams.
    • Communicate campaign activity, promotions, and seasonal messaging to shopping malls.
    • Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility through mall marketing channels.
    • Coordinate advertising and communication requirements relating to promotional periods and campaign activity.
    • Develop and implement tactical visibility plans around key trading periods by leveraging mall marketing opportunities, digital screens, activations, and other relevant channels.

    In-Store Marketing

    • Manage in-store screen content and campaign updates.
    • Ensure campaign videos, promotional messaging, and marketing collateral are updated on time.
    • Ensure outdated campaign content is removed and replaced in line with campaign schedules.
    • Assist in maintaining consistency of brand messaging across customer touchpoints.

    Internal Activations & Employee Engagement

    • Support the planning and execution of internal marketing activations and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Support the planning and coordination of team events, celebrations, and recognition initiatives.
    • Assist in creating engaging experiences that strengthen team culture and support employee engagement.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, or a related field

    Experience

    • 1–2 years’ brand marketing experience
    • Retail and shoot production experience (essential)
    • Agency experience (advantageous)
    • Strong project coordination background
    • Experience coordinating multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

    Skills

    • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
    • Strong project and timeline coordination ability
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Canva
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and follow through on deliverables
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
