Junior Millwright / Mechanical Engineer - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) at Unique Personnel

Position Overview:

• Position requires a motivated individual to join the technical team of a leading mining and aggregate crushing and screening company.  Will be working alongside experienced professionals on projects across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
• Will require someone who will enjoy working with heavy machinery, thrive in challenging environments, and are willing to spend extended periods away from home.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of crushing and screening equipment.
• Perform mechanical inspections, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Support breakdowns and shutdowns at customer sites.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to develop practical industry skills.
• Travel extensively to mines and customer operations throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.

Inherent Requirements    
 Minimum requirements:

• Qualified Millwright (Red Seal Trade Test)

or

• a National Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Newly qualified or up to two years' relevant experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Valid Code B driver's licence.
• Medically fit to work on mining sites.
• Willing and able to travel extensively and spend prolonged periods away from home.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
