Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 18:00
• Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00
• Sunday & Public Holidays: 09:00 – 15:00

Desired experience & qualifications:

• Qualified Optometrist with relevant registration.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
• Professional, ethical, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
• Diagnose and manage refractive errors, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
• Prescribe and fit spectacles and contact lenses.
• Detect, monitor, and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
• Perform diagnostic tests using specialised ophthalmic equipment.
• Develop appropriate treatment and management plans based on clinical findings.
• Educate patients on eye health, vision care, and preventative measures.
• Prescribe therapeutic medication where permitted.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Conduct follow-up consultations and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
• Advise patients on the care and maintenance of spectacles and contact lenses.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices through continuous professional development.
