The Junior Planner supports and ensures the smooth flow of products across the supply chain. The role is responsible for assisting with inventory management, order placement, and supplier coordination to ensure products are available in the right quantity, at the right time, and at the optimal cost.
By supporting the planning and replenishment processes, the Junior Planner contributes to meeting customer demand, reducing stockouts and overstocks, and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in placing purchase orders to ensure products are ordered in the right quantities and delivered on time to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
Support inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock rotation, and ensuring accurate records across locations.
Collect and maintain supply chain data to ensure accuracy and support reporting and decision-making.
Assist in monitoring category performance and sales trends, providing basic insights to help optimise product assortment and replenishment decisions.
Support relationship-building activities with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and prompt resolution of issues.
Identify and report potential supply or inventory issues, assisting in root cause analysis and contributing to solutions.
Help ensure timely and complete deliveries (On-Time, In-Full) by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
Requirements:
Relevant Supply Chain, Logistics, or related qualification.
1–3 years’ experience in retail planning, inventory management, or replenishment (internship or entry-level experience considered).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good planning, multitasking, and time management abilities.
Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior planners.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Team player, but able to work independently when required.
Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to supporting the team’s objectives.
